THE WESTIN LA PALOMA RESORT & SPA has earned the 2016 Best of Meetings Today Award from Meetings Today magazine.

THE TUCSON JEWISH COMMUNITY CENTER announced several staff promotions in the Early Childhood Education program as a result of the recent retirement of Wendy Edmonds, co-director of the program for many years. JOLINE RIDDLE has been named director of early childhood education. Riddle has been with the J since May 2015. A native Tucsonan, she earned her undergraduate degree in elementary education from the University of Arizona and continued her education at the UA with a Master’s in early childhood education followed by certification in educational administration. Most recently she was an instructor and supervisor at the UA College of Education. MARIAN SCHILTZ is now ECE operations and discover C.A.T.C.H. director, formerly associate director. She has been with the J’s ECE program for more than five years after many years working for non-profits that focus on children. LORI MAURER has been named ECE administrative director. Maurer started at the J as the ECE secretary and then moved to the position of executive assistant in the administrative office.
