Shul, interfaith council to host bond election discussion

The social action committee of Congregation Or Chadash and the Pima County Interfaith Council will present “Voting and Social Justice,” a discussion of the pros and cons of the Pima County bond election, on Thursday, Oct. 1, from 7-8:30 p.m. in room 8 at Or Chadash.

Seven propositions are included in the county’s request for approval of $815,760,000 in general obligation bonds. “If approved, the money would fund projects that will repair and improve streets and infrastructure, protect public safety, encourage tourism, conserve open space, stimulate economic development and improve community health and knowledge,” says Damion Alexander, who will speak at the event along with Harpo Jaeger of PCIC.
