JCF seeks Israel Discovery Fund applications

The Jewish Community Foundation is seeking applications from nonprofit organizations in Southern Arizona for a grant from the JCF Israel Discovery Fund, made possible by the Shaol & Evelyn Pozez Endowment Fund and the Beren Family Scholarship Fund.

The purpose of the JCF Israel Discovery Fund is to send Jews and non-Jews from Southern Arizona on organized trips to Israel to encourage the building of positive experiences and relationships among those of different faiths, and promoting positive relations with Israel.

Available grants range from $1,000-$2,500 per sponsored participant.

JCF’s Scholarship Committee will review all submissions. All applicants will receive notification of grant awards on or before Jan. 18. Funding will be available March 1.

It is the responsibility of the chosen organization(s) to select the deserving individual participants. The scholarship is not limited by age, geography or any other specific demographic. The only requirement is that the trip includes both Jews and non-Jews traveling together.

Trips to Israel must be taken within two years from the date of the grant award.

For an application or more information, contact Allie London, JCF program officer, at allie@jcftucson.org or 577-0388.
