Julia Rae Derman
JULIA RAE DERMAN, daughter of Michele and Burt Derman, will celebrate becoming a Bat Mitzvah on Saturday, March 10 at Temple Emanu-El.
She is the granddaughter of Dr. Ron and Gloria Robbins of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and the late Janet and Jack Derman of Tucson.
Julia attends Esperero Canyon Middle School. She competes for the Old Pueblo Gymnastics team and enjoys fashion design and movies. For her mitzvah project, she is donating a portion of her Bat Mitzvah gifts to Casa de los Niños and has volunteered in various local homeless shelters and food kitchens.
